The Local Theatre Touring Alliance (LTTA) is a national, sector-led initiative focused on enhancing professional touring theatre in towns and smaller cities across the UK. As part of our commitment to **local theatre recruitment**, we are excited to announce our search for a Part-time National Convenor to lead the next phase of LTTA’s development—transitioning the organisation from volunteer-led momentum to focused, funded delivery.
This is a unique opportunity to influence a growing national initiative at a critical moment. The National Convenor will act as a connector, facilitator, and advocate: bringing together venues, producers, funders, and partners to address shared challenges, fostering collaboration, and turning collective ambition into actionable plans.
**About the role**
The National Convenor will:
- Lead sector convening and relationship-building across the UK, enhancing **theatre sector leadership**
- Coordinate funded activities, including pilots, forums, and collaborative initiatives
- Translate research and sector insights into clear priorities and advocacy, bolstering **performing arts advocacy**
- Help position LTTA as a credible, values-led national voice for mid-scale touring
- Work closely with LTTA’s Board to support good governance and reporting
The role is part-time, flexible, and primarily remote, with occasional travel throughout the UK.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has senior-level experience and credibility within the UK theatre or performing arts sector
- Is confident in convening diverse stakeholders and brokering collaboration
- Brings strong experience in research, insight, or evidence-led advocacy
- Can work independently, strategically, and collaboratively in a part-time role
- Is committed to equality, diversity, and inclusion and values-led working
**Terms**
Contract: Fixed-term, subject to funding
Hours: Part-time (2–3 days per week, by agreement)
Location: Flexible / remote, with occasional UK travel
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
