Midscale 2026 - Participation Terms

Midscale 2026 is the pilot edition of a new national marketplace for midscale touring run by the Local Theatre Touring Alliance (LTTA).

As with any pilot, we expect to learn as we plan and deliver the event. The programme, participation opportunities and these Participation Terms may therefore evolve between the opening of applications and 21 October 2026. Wherever material changes are made, applicants and delegates will be notified and the latest version will be published on the Midscale website.

Applications and curation

Submitting an application does not guarantee a place at Midscale.

Applications will be considered by the LTTA Board against the published eligibility criteria and our commitment to curate a balanced, diverse and productive event. In doing so, we will seek an appropriate mix of venues, producers, artforms, geography, organisation types and participation opportunities.

The Board's decision on applications is final.

Participation

Applicants are encouraged to identify how they would like to contribute to Midscale, whether through Tour-Ready, Pipeline, Collaborate, Live Moments or the Marketplace.

LTTA reserves the right to discuss alternative participation opportunities with applicants where we believe these would create a stronger overall event.

Tickets, transfers and cancellations

Successful applicants will be invited to purchase tickets.

If you can no longer attend, please let us know as soon as possible. Bookings may be transferred to another representative from the same organisation, subject to LTTA's agreement.

Refund arrangements and any cancellation deadlines will be published before tickets go on sale.

If LTTA is required to cancel Midscale, ticket fees will be refunded in full. LTTA cannot accept responsibility for travel, accommodation or other costs incurred.

Respecting ideas

Midscale is designed to encourage organisations to share productions, projects and ideas at every stage of development.

Presenters and contributors retain ownership of their intellectual property at all times. Delegates are expected to respect the confidential nature of discussions and should not photograph, record or reproduce presentations, performances or other materials without the permission of the presenter or performer.

We hope Midscale will foster a culture of openness, generosity and trust. We ask all participants to contribute in that spirit.

Photography and filming

Photography and filming may take place during the event for future LTTA communications and promotional purposes.

If you do not wish to appear in photographs or recordings, please let us know before the event.

Accessibility

LTTA is committed to making Midscale as accessible as reasonably practicable. Please tell us about any access or dietary requirements during the application process so that we can make appropriate arrangements wherever possible.

Programme

Midscale is a live, curated event. LTTA reserves the right to make changes to the programme, speakers, sessions, room allocations and timings where necessary.

Delegate conduct

Midscale is intended to provide a welcoming, inclusive and collaborative environment. We ask all delegates to treat fellow participants, venue staff and contributors with courtesy and respect throughout the event.

Privacy

Personal information will be processed in accordance with the LTTA Privacy Policy and used for the administration of Midscale. Where delegates have given permission, contact details may also be included in the event delegate directory.
